Organic Quality
Over 50% of all Salzburg farmers have "gone organic"

If you are looking for a healthy vacation guaranteed by an organic seal of quality, then SalzburgerLand is definitely the right choice for you: nowhere else in Europe boasts as big a proportion of organic farmers as we do here. Over 50 percent of all farmers have gone organic out of respect for their fellow man, animals and Mother Nature.
Their daily rhythm is forged by sustainability, a sense of responsibility and cautious use of natural resources. BioParadies SalzburgerLand represents a collaboration of organic tourism pioneers, who live this philosophy day in and day out, and who have met a stringent set of quality criteria.

"bio" = Quality
BIO AUSTRIAAll members of BioParadies SalzburgerLand hold a valid certificate issued by an official organic inspection center, as well as being members of the BIO AUSTRIA organics association. At many farms, the organic products actually originate from right there on their own farm.

In addition to basic membership, many establishments have expanded their organic services in different ways (indicated by the colored butterflies).

The different colored butterflies provide you with a quick summary of each host’s additional organic features:

 Salzburg Organic Breakfast
The "blue butterfly" indicates all of those establishments where you can enjoy an authentic Salzburg Organic Breakfast. Which means, only Salzburg ingredients from regional, quality-inspected organic farms ever make it onto your breakfast table.

 Organic Foods All Day Long
The “green butterfly” indicates that organic foods are available to you throughout the day at your lodging establishment.

 100% Organic Foods
The "orange butterfly" is the most stringent of all quality criteria: You will only ever find organic foods on your table.
